As we all know, no matter which industry or type of work, it needs its corresponding tools. Electrical work is a profession with professional skills, and naturally requires more professional and safe electrician tools. Familiar with the use of electrical work has great help. So what electrical tools are needed for electrical assembly work? Let’s take a look at the commonly used electrical tools for electrical assembly.
1. Screwdriver
Screwdrivers are also commonly known as screwdrivers, change tapers, and are divided into Phillips screwdrivers and flathead screwdrivers according to function. There is usually a thin wedge head that can be inserted into the slot or notch of the screw head. It is composed of handle (generally non-slip, insulated), knife head and knife holder.
The main function is to lock and fix Phillips screws and slotted screws.
(1) Slotted screwdriver
Specifications are indicated by cylindrical metal rod length and rod diameter other than the handle. The specifications are expressed as: rod diameter mm * rod length mm. As shown in the figure below;
Commonly used specifications are: 3*100, 5*200, 6*200, etc
(2) Phillips screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver specifications are indicated by head size and metal rod length. Generally 0#, 1#, 2#, 3#.
Among them, 0# represents a rod diameter of 3mm, suitable for 2~2.5mm screws, 1# represents a rod diameter of 5mm, suitable for 3~5mm screws, 2# represents 6mm, suitable for 6~8mm screws, 3# represents 8mm, suitable for 8~12mm screws.
2. Electrical knife
Electrical knife is a special cutting tool used to cut wires, cable insulation, cutting wooden table notches and other auxiliary materials.
Figure 2-1
When using, the knife edge is cut outward, and when cutting the insulation layer, the knife surface should be angled to the wire to avoid cutting the wire. The usage method is shown in Figure 2-2 below:

3. Oblique pliers
Oblique pliers are also called wire cutters, wire cutters, because the knife head is a “diagonal” structure. As shown in Figure 3-2, it is a professional tool used by electricians to cut wires, and it is also one of the most important common tools, which can cut general metal wires, cables, etc. However, it is not possible to cut thicker steel wire or metal wire to prevent damage to the blade, and the handle is an insulating material to prevent electric shock.

4. Sharp-nosed pliers
The tip of the needle-nose pliers is thin, suitable for clamping workpieces, small parts in a small space, or twisting fine metal wire for binding and fixing, the cutting edge can cut off the wire, and the insulation handle can be used in a live environment below 500V (generally not recommended).
5. Allen wrench
Allen wrenches are used to twist and fix Allen screws.
Allen wrenches are generally made of 45-gauge carbon steel, so they are more durable. The specifications of the hexagon are determined according to the size of the corresponding screw or screw, and the general specification is expressed as the hexalateral diameter of “D”:
The most commonly used specifications are 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm.
6. Active wrench
Movable wrench, also known as live wrench, is an important tool for tightening and loosening nuts, mainly composed of movable jaws, fixed jaws, adjusting turbines, and grips.
Its specifications are expressed in length (mm) and maximum opening width (mm), commonly used are 150*25 (6 inches), 200*30 (8 inches), 250*35 (10 inches), 300*40 (12 inches) ✖ and so on.
7. Secure the board hand
The fixed plate hand is also called an open wrench or a dull wrench, because its opening size is a fixed caliber and cannot be adjusted, but it is not easy to slip when used. The main function, like the movable wrench, is also a special tool for fixing nuts.
Its specifications generally have an adjacent size at both ends as a whole, commonly used specifications are: 7mm (M4 nut) -8mm (M5 nut), 10mm (M6) -14mm (M8), 17mm (M10) -19mm (M12), 22mm (M14) -24mm (M16) and so on.
8. Hand drill
Hand drill is a small and medium-sized power tool, is one of the indispensable power tools for electricians, the main author is to make screw holes for equipment or workpieces. As shown in Figure 8-1, the hand drill is mainly composed of drill bit clamp, transmission gear, nail, rotor, casing, switch, and power cord. There is also a portable hand drill as shown in Figure 8-2, which is powered by a lithium battery instead of a power cord.

9. Electric soldering iron
Electric soldering iron is an essential tool for electronic production and electrical maintenance in our electrical assembly, the main use is welding components and circuit board welding production, aviation plug cable production, extension cable connection, etc.
Electric soldering iron is generally composed of a handle, a soldering iron tip, and a heat element, which is divided into internal heat type and external heat type. Internal heating type means that the heating core is in the inside of the soldering iron tip, and the soldering iron tip is tubular, which has the advantage of fast heating and high efficiency, which is more suitable for PCB and other circuit board soldering, as well as wire extension wire welding. The disadvantage is that it is easy to break. External heating type refers to the heating core outside, its soldering iron tip for cylindrical installation inside the heating body, the advantage is fast heat dissipation, high power, stable, suitable for welding larger components or thick wires, the disadvantage is large volume, slow heating needs to be preheated in advance, not suitable for welding smaller components.
