Fishing bought several brackets, the first to buy stainless steel, due to sometimes rainy days fishing. It worked well at first, but after a while, it appeared tight when shrinking. It began to be difficult to collect, and it was more difficult to pull out, and in a fishing trip, I pulled hard, since it was disjointed. When I put it back in, it could no longer be fixed, and once I went out fishing, the front horn head fell into the water, and it looked wasted. So I planned to buy carbon stents, although carbon stents are slightly easier to use than stainless steel, but the price is less than seventy or eighty. Slightly better ones are hundreds. Even more expensive. I really can’t afford to hurt, as a fisherman, if you can do it, try not to touch the money. Use the money to buy a few more packs of bait, nest material, and make a heavy nest.
While fishing, I found that there was a fork in the branch next to me, so I decided to make a support, first go home and dry it. After drying, because it is a Y-shape, the rod holder must be made into three Ys to be used. So I sawed off the lower handle and punched a 45-degree hole in the middle of the Y. The size of the hole is around 6mm. Then pin the sawn branches with a knife into a 45-degree head. The size is the same as the hole of Y.
Drill the Y head of the hole, apply white latex, and apply glue to the 6mm head of the pin, install it together, and wait for it to dry. At this time, it becomes a horn-type fork. After drying, use a file to polish the whole flat, and where there is a gap, you can put the powder polished by the file on the gap, and then use 502 points. Wait for the 502 to dry before sanding with a file, and finally sanding flat with sandpaper. It’s almost a half-finished product, and it looks okay.
After a few polishings, it is considered ready. In a fishing end, I found that the rod had been broken on the side of the fishing position, it was exactly 2 to 3 knots, and I looked at it, and it was still available. With a clever move, isn’t this a natural pair of sheep’s horns that are picked up and matched with the made sheep’s horns? There were a few fishing friends next to me, a little embarrassed to pick it up, and after repeated hesitation, they still cheekily picked it up. Take home and the finished horn fork, a little smaller, measure it with a caliper, directly use the first 4 cm with a knife pin to make it small, try to keep it larger when pinning, polish with a file, and then grind with sandpaper. In the process of doing it, try to sell less and grind more, so as to maintain the right size and roundness.
Take the 2 poles you picked up and use a strong horse line at the entrance of the knots to make explosion-proof. Prepare the strong horse line, dismantle the strong horse line, and then wrap the strong horse line from the mouth of the pole to the inside of the first phase of the circle. Wind about 2 cm, then light 502 glue, after drying. If there is epoxy resin glue, you can add another layer of epoxy resin glue, the effect is better, and both joints are done. Then paint the finished horn Y. If you only have black paint on your hands, just put black paint on and let it dry.
Recently, an aluminum alloy tube was found in the toolbox, which was about the same size as a rod. A little smaller, so 2 layers of tape were wrapped around the rod. It is no problem to put on the rod with two sections exactly 2 meters and 4.5 and 5.4. There is a slight downward bend, but it is still quite firm and does not shake too much. Much better than the stainless steel you bought.
Summary: When looking for a fork, try to find woody hard, such as small-leaved sandalwood, cypress, yellow tendon, locust tree, osmanthus tree and so on. The wood is hard, made to be used, not easy to break, not deformed. Do not use soft woody trees, miscellaneous trees are easy to break and easy to deform. When doing the knife pin, try to leave more and polish more. Pay attention to the size, too much sanding, the joint is not tight, and it is easy to turn when in use. The horn Y should not be less than 4 cm when inserted into the rod mouth, and too little insertion is not subject to force. The explosion-proof wire must be done, and it is easy to burst if it is not done. In the fishing box, the rod part of the fishing chair, set with aluminum alloy or stainless steel pipe, the length can be 10 to 15 cm. If it is not set, it is easy to break the rod when adjusting the height when putting the long rod. As long as these are done, the bracket is still easy to use. Although buying dozens of pieces of carbon is not a lot of money, for a fisherman, you must be skilful.
